January 2008 Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! We are excited to announce that Avery will be a big sister in July/August. It was a complete surprise. Avery is doing well. Her birthday is coming up on February 5th and we can't believe a year has gone by already. She is such a big girl now. She drinks only from her sippy cup (no more bottles) and loves her grown up food. She has conversations with everyone. Unfortunately, we have no idea what she is saying, but it sounds serious. She does say a few words we can understand. However, she is determined not to walk, unless there is proper stable support. I believe for her birthday she asked for a helmet and knee pads. Ahh my cautious little girl. The next baby will probably be jumping off the roof.

Sporting her new outfit from xmas.

Taking a nap before church. It was nice of Tank to share the couch with her.

Now this is a rare sight. The cats are not too fond of Avery and her big mouth.

Avery was determined to get into a room that was blocked (on purpose) by her wagon. Unfortunately, she got stuck. Her mommy saved her, but only after running to get the camera for a quick picture.

Her new pjs from Aunt Jenny. Her daddy thinks she looks to grown up in them.

Her is Avery's new sister/brother. Avery is hoping for a boy. At least that's what I heard her say to the dog. Something about not wanting to share any of her clothes or toys with a sister.

December 2007

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to everyone! We had a good month. I know I start every month this way, but yes she got more teeth. She has decided that walking maybe a bit too dangerous for her just yet. She is very cautious and tests out the stability of every object she grabs for support. But she does walk around the furniture and down the hall (yes holding onto only the wall). I guess I should be grateful that she isn't a risk taker (like her dad).

First snow and ride in her sled.

Helping put up xmas tree lights. Not being as helpful as mommy would have liked.

Xmas morning! She was getting over a cold. So I think mommy and daddy were more excited.

Loving her new presents from Santa!

Playing with the cat and his xmas toy (a straw). Maybe Santa should have just bought her a bag of straws.

Time for a morning nap. All that xmas cheer was too much.

Very excited about her pink piano from Aunt Leslie. Mommy and Daddy will be thanking Aunt Leslie for years to come!
