December 2010
Merry Christmas!!! Yes, we all survived the holidays. Avery was in her first school concert. She was really excited. Except when she got up there she was completely frozen. I guess that is better than crying. Better luck next year. They all got exactly what they wanted for Christmas. Surprising I guess Santa doesn't really check that list twice! It was a great holiday...my brother and new sister-in-law Sovath (aka "Aunt Sofa" according to the kids) and new nephew Tylar came to town. Lots of food, family and laughing. What could be better. Happy New Year Everyone!
Avery getting her first ever haircut...of course it was only 1/2inch. She was being silly!
Jake checking out the snowglobes...trying to see how they get the water in there. I will have to keep my eye on him when he goes to get a screwdriver.
Huh, What Mom?...we are just looking I promise!
I thought it would be really funny to make these pjs. I was going to do Merry Christmas but the letters wouldn't fit, so Happy Holidays won out. Ryan just rolled his eyes.
A little bit of stage fright. But she stayed up there and moved her lips too! Not sure if any sound was coming out.
Grandma and Poppy came to see her big debut.
Yup, we saw the big man himself. Jake was so cute. He just kept staring at him. He was looking at him so hard their noses were touching. But he did turn real quick for a pick. And no tears. Of course Avery never cried with Santa. I have some weird kids!
Helping Mommy decorate the tree with lights. We asked Santa to put the decorations up again this year on Christmas Eve. Maybe next year the kids will get to do it. Hmm Maybe?!

Look at all that loot!!!
Umm yeah, Avery felt a little underdressed. So she just quickly spruced up her pjs for the occasion with a boa.
Wow, lots and lots of cars!!! translation: lots and lots of cars for mommy to step on and clean up!
He opened every present like it was the best and only one! Of course it took him forever.
Yeah, Santa remembered. Yes, Avery asked Santa for a pink plastic toothbrush. Of course all month she was mentioning some kind of doll. Then at the 11th hour she says she wants to ask Santa for a toothbrush. I think she was testing him!
Christmas morning with Daddy!
Yes, thank you again and again and again Aunt Lindsay and Uncle Gary. We will never be able to repay you for this wonderful gift!
Ah yes the aftermath
Building a fort for his Army men. The only think he asked for all month long. Army men. Now he has hundreds of them. Yup a mother's dream come true!
Modeling her Christmas dress!
Look how freakin cute they are! And they match so well.
My handsome lil man
Oh yeah, a tool bench with a really loud wooden hammer. Thanks Aunt Leslie my walls thank you too!
